Description
No one can fail to be impressed at the sight of Truro Cathedral in Cornwall.
One of only three cathedrals in the United Kingdom with three spires, it towers over the city with the central tower and spire standing 250 feet (76 m) tall, while the twin western towers reach to 200 feet (61 m), but entering through one of the two porch doors and seeing the amazing interior will make anyone speechless.
This image is looking towards those impressive double porch entrance doors between the western towers, nave and west rose window of Truro Cathedral.
The window depicts God the father at the heart of creation and was designed by Clayton & Bell. It is one of three rose Windows in the cathedral telling the gospel story.
The nave pillars, all except one, are made from Bath stone. There is one pillar near to the foundation stone which us made of granite.
