Description
I walk past this cast iron pump nearly every day when I go down Lemon Hill to the shop or for a walk along the creek. It is at the heart of the village next to the Lemon Arms public house.
This is the village pump in Mylor Bridge Cornwall, dated 1852 and painted in carriage wheel colours which had blue rims with red spokes.
The pump was used by the village until 1944 when mains water was laid to military camps above the village.
