Description
Fowler steam traction engine 13140 was built in 1913.
'Volunteer' started out as new in Somerset and spent it's working life in The Mendips. Mr Hines of Gloucester then bought Volunteer before it was consigned to the scrapyard.
'Volunteer' was rescued from the scrapyard by Mr Simmonds of Dingley Berkshire in 1964 who spent the next four years lovingly restoring the General Purpose Traction engine to it's former glory.
