Description
The old village of Bosham basks with it's feet in the sea at the head of Chichester Harbour. The Harbour is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and lies at the foot of The South Downs National Park.
Shore road is well used by walkers and at low tide and people park their cars along the length of the road, but Shore Road floods at every high tide so there is an elevated pavement called The Trippet which provides excellent views across the estuary. It is a common sight to see motorists trying to rescue their cars from the incoming tide in spite of the signs warning the owners to move them.
Martin Howard used this image to paint a wonderful watercolour. It can be seen here http://fineartamerica.com/featured/bosham-shoreline-martin-howard.html#comment23852534
