Artist's Description
A soft HDR image of Town Harbour Torquay with the English Riviera Wheel in the background
Torquay Harbour lies on the North shore of Tor Bay and whilst benefiting from an expanding marine leisure industry, Torquay remains a fully commercial and busy Devonshire port.
Princess Pier to the West and Haldon Pier to the South, which is very much a working pier, form the main breakwaters and give shelter to the enclosed harbour facilities of Torquay harbour.
The outer harbour comprises of a 170 berth Town Dock pontoon facility. The inner harbour lies behind a cill and bridge, impounding the water at half tide level and is home to 170 moorings for boats up to 9 metres long. Access to the inner harbour is subject to tides, with entry via a bridge/cill which stops the inner harbour from drying out at low water.
About Terri Waters
Hello, I am Terri Waters, born in London UK in the last century, now happily settled in Mylor Bridge, Cornwall. Every morning when I pull back my curtains there is a whole new day asking to be explored and I can't wait to grab my camera, get on my bicycle and see where the road takes me. As a designer I venture into digital art every now and again. A change is as good as a rest for my legs and my bike. Sometimes an idea pops into my head from nowhere and I can't wait to produce an image to convey it to the outside world. Would you like your own photographs made perfect or your own works of art given a new twist for more variety of prints from your originals?
