Description
The Bridge of Remembrance, flanked by the silhouettes of two soldiers covered in knitted poppies in Truro Cornwall.
Every November the footbridge across the River Allen between St Mary’s Mews and the Old Bridge is a focal point of the city. People from all over the world send their knitted and crocheted poppies to add to the bridge to commemorate the end of the First World War. There is also a panel of purple poppies to commemorate animals that died during the war.
