In Penberth an electric winch is now used to pull the fishing boats back up the granite slipway rather than a man powered windlass.
That is one of the few changes in this quaint fishing harbour in the far west of Cornwall. The traditional stone cottages look the same as they have for centuries in this sheltered wooded valley, picturesque at any time of the year.
