My mother knitted me a swimsuit.
Not very practical to wear in the sea and the gusset dragged along the sand on the way out, but it was the 1960's.
To top the look off I had an ice cream moustache. Cool.
Many years later I remember putting on a fetching two piece and being asked surely I wasn't going to sit on the beach wearing that !!! How times change.
