Description
A lovely view of this part of Cornwall.
The back of the high street shops and apartments looking towards Prince of Wales Pier with Flushing in the distance.
The Flushing/Falmouth Ferry is my chosen form of transport, a wonderful way to get to and from Falmouth avoiding the busy roads.
The Royal Charter for the Flushing Ferry dates back to 1660 when Charles II granted that the ferry rights to Sir Peter Killigrew
Local men would row across the river to Greenbank Quay. Nowadays the ferry runs from Flushing Quay to Prince of Wales Pier in Falmouth using larger motor vessels.
