Artist's Description
This image of Amur Tiger is especially adapted for fabric from an image in my Cats Gallery where it is available as a printable image with a coloured background to hang on the wall.
I'm not a fan of the pictures on T Shirts that have the box edge look, I'm sure you know what I mean, so these blend in with the colour fabric of your choice.
The Amur tiger is the largest of all the cats. A male Amur tiger can weigh up to 300kgs.
There are now more of these wonderful tigers in captivity than there are in the wild due to poaching, mainly to satisfy the demand for oriental medicinal products.
Although tigers have always been hunted the population was never threatened with extinction until recently. With the advent of western values and weapons, much of the culture of the local people was destroyed, and with it the protection of the tiger was lost.
About Terri Waters
Hello, I am Terri Waters, born in London UK in the last century, now happily settled in Mylor Bridge, Cornwall. Every morning when I pull back my curtains there is a whole new day asking to be explored and I can't wait to grab my camera, get on my bicycle and see where the road takes me. As a designer I venture into digital art every now and again. A change is as good as a rest for my legs and my bike. Sometimes an idea pops into my head from nowhere and I can't wait to produce an image to convey it to the outside world. Would you like your own photographs made perfect or your own works of art given a new twist for more variety of prints from your originals?
