Description
At the top of The Island in St Ives, overlooking St Ives town and beaches, surrounded on three sides by the sea, stands the medieval chapel of St Nicholas, also known as the Island Chapel.
St Ives has been a busy fishing port since the Middle Ages and is believed to have been settled as early as the Bronze Age.
Perhaps St Ives' greatest natural asset is the array of beautiful sandy beaches that surround the quaint town with it's narrow streets making it the top holiday destination in Cornwall.
