Description
Newlyn Strand at Christmas.
In 1908 a new engineered road, the Strand, was created to link the original Newlyn to the new up and coming fishing area of Newlyn, now one of the major fishing ports not only in Cornwall but in the whole of the UK.
This still quaint street with its old fishermen's cottages overlooks the bustling new fish market and lifeboat station and looks so pretty with it's very original choice of Christmas lights, especially when they are reflected in the still harbour water.
