Description
A few miles south of Falmouth in Cornwall is Helford Village.
Helford was once a busy port until the Helford River silted up. Readers of Daphne Du Maurier's classic novel, 'Frenchman's Creek' will be familiar with Helford's reputation for smuggling and these old whitewashed cottages by the ford could surly tell a few tales.
With quaint names like Christmas Cottage, September Cottage and Wednesday Cottage, this really is a village worth visiting in any season, no mater what day of the week.
