At Botallack near St Just in the far west of Cornwall the remains from it's mining history are scattered all the coast and inland to the town. It is possible to see the old count house, mine stacks, engine house remains, spoil heaps, smelting, , arsenic tunnels, stamping and wheel pit remains and more. The location was used extensively in the filming of the television series 'Poldark'.
