This is the view down the Penryn River towards Falmouth from the Muddy Beach Cafe.
After meeting up with friends this was the perfect location to sit and enjoy the late afternoon sun on a beautiful October day.
At low water the creek totally empties, hence the name of the cafe, and all sorts of wading birds can be seen picking their way through the mud.
Penryn is a far older town than Falmouth, so the stretch of water between Falmouth and Flushing is rightly called the Penryn River.
