Description
West Cornwall's industrial heritage, the mining of tin and copper, is easily identified by the many ruined structures scattered around its coast and countryside.
The chimney-stacks standing sentinel and the derelict stone engine houses are proud survivors of a bygone era and form part of the natural rugged landscape.
Exposure to westerly storms and the pounding of the sea has made the north coast of Cornwall famous for it's dramatic scenery and made all the more exciting by the tales of smuggling and wrecking that abound in her coves and caves. This is the view from Pendeen Watch towards Levant mines on the rugged north coast looking across Enys Island.
