Description
A pretty summer house over the leat at Mylor Bridge near Falmouth in Cornwall.
The bridge, seen here in the background, was widened in the 1960's but a bridge in this location dates from medieval times.
Mylor Bridge is recorded on a map of 1597 as having "a 'New Bridge' of two arches". It was built on the packhorse and cattle route between Truro and Penryn Markets. The village which grew up around it became known as Mylor Bridge.
