Description
The view of the bell tower and telephone box from St Feoca Churchyard.
In the centre of the picturesque village of Feock in Cornwall, next to the war memorial, is the village church which is dedicated to a little known saint, St Feoca.
The site dates back to the 12th century but the church was almost completely rebuilt between 1840-1876. Perhaps its most unusual feature is the detached bell tower which, before the trees grew so tall, could be seen by sailors from Carrick Roads. It is reputed to be the last church to conduct its service in the Cornish language.
