Description
This photograph was taken on 21st November 2018 on the night of the Festival of Light Parade when the christmas lights are switched on. The weather changed between rain and bright moonlight with racing clouds, giving beautiful reflections on the cobbles.
In Boscawen Street in the City of Truro in Cornwall is the War Memorial, with a soldier waving his hat in the air. It stands outside the Coinage Hall, an imposing Victorian building which goes back to a time when Truro was chosen as a Stannary Town, where smelted tin was assayed before being exported. The Coinage Hall Heavy ingots would arrive at the building for the assayer's attention.
