Description
This is a composite of photographs of wind turbines in Cornwall with added textures.
What looks like rain or sun spots is a texture I put over the photographs and under that is another texture with a bright middle. Then I added the rays of light.
The wind has been used for hundreds of years to generate energy.
England is rightly famous for its wide range of beautiful windmills some of which are nearly 400 years old. For centuries these extraordinary buildings were the mainstay of the farming industry and responsible for providing flour for the cities and countryside alike.
Today however, turbines, are more commonly used to generate electricity.
Like a windmill, a turbine has blades, which are turned by the wind. The energy created by the spinning blades is passed down the shaft of the turbine into an electricity generator.
